After graduating from the ETH in Zurich with a doctorate in Technical
Sciences, I spent 35 years with Nestlé of which 25 years outside
Switzerland in various
European and Asian countries.
|
|
My activities were in the area of production and quality management
mainly, but my experience includes the management of our health food
business and Nespresso in Japan. During my seven years in Japan as Senior Managing Director, I got heavily
involved in Japanese Management methods and became a firm believer in
continuous improvement as an important methodology to achieve sustainable
business improvement.

|
The seven years as Vice-president responsible for Quality of the
Nestlé group of companies at the
headquarters in Switzerland further enhanced my believe that the success of
these methods are applicable on a world wide basis.
